Help please - want to find a clever scenario
I wanted to play a scenario that offers something different than the usual AC/bloodlust/objectives goal. I started on The World of Jules Verne scenario, which offered the exciting premise of exploration and finding unique things which would aid in winning. I did come across a few Evil cities and unique defensive units. Basically, all they do is get you gold which would help in reducing the tax rate. Big whoop. I was expecting something more clever than that.

What would be really cool, and the reason for asking if something like this exist in a custom scenario, is to capture such cities or defensive units and get one or more of the following:
Gold, of course
An unique military unit
An improvement in one of your cities
Added production or trade
A wonder
A triggered event
etc.

Do you know of any scenario like this, if any?

I do know of a scenario that features things just like what you mentioned. But it ain't finished yet and will still need a good deal of time to be.

Otherwise, why don't ya check put all those nice websites that say they have what you need? There sure must be something around...

I know some:
Jesus Balsinde's "Eldorado", Dan Scheltema's "Slash and Burn" and Alex the Magnificent's "Spartacus". The first one can be found here: http://spanish.apolyton.net I don't know about the others.

Shannara By Michael Jeszenka might do that...I dunno if you want to play an RPG type game.

I remember that the 7 Years War (still by Jeszenka) had two cool events. One involving Fort Ticonderaga in America and the other involving stealing Prussian battle plans.

But you could never steal the Prussian battleplans because it plans were the unit of a civ which destroyed the field marshal, an ally, not British or Prussia. So you the "allies" could never destroy the battleplans.

Actually, I stuck with Jules Verne since I figured out what I am supposed to do (no thanks to the manual). It is really quite challenging, fun and clever. (Eldorado looks intriguing though. Also Sacrificial Blood is supposed to be one of those ultimate events scenarios, but I have not heard any feedback on this at all.)

...or more specifically

I had asked several times in the past for any reviews on this but I don't think anyone here ever played this. This scenario looks to be the most intriguing of them all...

I've been playtesting the latest version of it (but only one game...haven't been able to play the multi-player ones yet), and it's an extremely good scenario. Everything consistently changes, and it's tough too! You actually need to be smart and strategize to win it.

And Shay, if you read this. I haven't sent more to you b/c frankly, the documentation is just too good! I have no questions or suggestions.
