disk drive error...
hey ive started to play civ3 recently again and:
i put the disk in and autostart runs and i click on play civ3, this is where the error happens it cant read the disk cuz of some drive error..???
i also got a cdrw installed, u think that has something to do with it?
i use to play this game fine but i wanted to play today but i got this error anybody know how to fix this?:

Yep this is a common one. Make sure you are fully patched and if that does not work then you need to e-mail firaxis for a SafeDisk Patch or get a patch from another source...

I think that covers it. I thouht that had been address in a patch, but I did not see it mentioned in the readme.

Anyway it is always a good idea to give the verision and OS.

ok:
i have a 866mhz p3 with 192mb ram
ati 9200 @ 128mb
on xp
it use to run fine even without the ati card, and it can also run with it...
i went to the atari troubleshooting area and click on
[error:disk read errors]
i dont know if thats the same is drive read error but i tried it and still wont work

Uninstall and reinstall from. Changes in the direv configurations might cause this.
