Hmmm... is plague in the regular Conquests game? Like those ridiculous volcanoes? I too dislike random events and often turn off the barbs 'cause I hate them bothering my cultural expansion. (And the barb huts are gone too - hate to give the AI any random bonuses)
Had a volcano spew but it only went one space, is that the radius?
Silly plagues... never had one yet, but I keep giving up 'cause I tried to play the mayans and so far every single start with them SUX!!!! Crappy land or the INcas attack me when I have one freaky town.... When does plague start if it does? Linked to a tech?
(Ok, I COULD read the civ-pedia but then I wouldn't have anything to say on here...)

Plagues are definitely NOT in the standard epic game. You need to mod them in if you want them, or use the "with plagues" scenario that came with the game.

The plaque isn't in the epic game, you have to turn it on in the editor yourself.
