Actually I reread the rules. The deflection option looked strange to me late last night.

So we can start nuking any time?

And to which player they're deflected to, right?

If the first one fits, then it's not nuke 1 - 3 - 5 that is deflected, but only the first one, since each player only shoots a max of two nukes anyway

Well I read it now as 50% of the total aimed at you in that turn. But it shouldn't be given as 50%, since it could be anything from 100% (1 from 1) to 50% in the limit with the number of nukes sent being very high. Right?

Ah hold on...........if it must always be an even number of nukes sent at you then 50% is correct. So the player just says "deflect to Jamski", then 50% of the even number of nukes get sent to Jamski and 50% hit the player.

Yeah that sounds better.

Poorly worded on my part. The 50% of the total that are even numbered nukes get deflected, whereas the remaining 50% hits the player. I think.

Yep, except its the ODD numbers (1,3,5...) that get deflected

The deflections are from ALL the people that try to nuke you, and are deflected to ONE person you choose. All the odd numbered nukes are deflected.

Example :

Player A deflects in direction player B
Player B nukes player A twice
Player C nukes player A once and player B once.

3 nukes hit player A, of which 2 are deflected to player B and one hits the target. Player A loses 1 city.
1 (from player C) + 2 (deflected from player A) = 3 nukes hit player B, who loses 3 cities and is dead

Results after one round :

Player A (2 cities remaining)
Player B (DEAD)
Player C (3 cities remaining)

Is that clear?

The fun starts when player X deflects 5 nukes to player Y, who then deflects 3 nukes to player Z, who then deflects 2 nukes back to player X, who has already deflected and dies

Don't worry, ADG will sort out the results (I hope)

Just to make clear again. Deflection works against ALL the people who try to nuke you, and deflects to ONE person specified in advance.

Ok, that makes it clear...

Just one thing is still unclear (But doesn't make any gameplay changes anyway):
Why is it player C's nuke hits Player A...
Did you count them as in Player B nuke 1 = First nuke, Player C nuke 1 = second nuke, Player B nuke 2 = third nuke?

Not that it matters anyway, since a hit is a hit... but it matters on the story telling

Oh, yeah, you're right it doesn't matter, 'cos a hit is a hit, but for the sake of story telling, why don't you just choose The one at fault is the one redirecting nukes in a friendly manner anyway

Uh, yes it will...oh 3 AKA 6 nukes..never mind that would take out all of your cities, but 3 would deflect to the person of your choice....take one of them down with you.

There should always be one space left for Nuclear Master in Nuclear War game.
