Mesoamerica Conquest Bug (maybe.)
I'm unsure if this has been posted, noticed, or experienced, but in the Mesoamerica conquest, whilst playing as the Incans on Emperor, I passed by the empire-wide cultural victory landmark of 7,000 points for said conquest about 20 turns before its end. I hit end turn, and, nothing. Absolutely nothing. I continued to the end of the scenario out of curiousity, at which point I lost (the warmongering Mayans had grabbed more score by that point, and thus won by time limit. I still had more culture, though, and still had well over the 7,000 victory cap). Now, if anyone could tell me why I seem to have lost, or point me at a thread that tells me why, or even just laugh at my misfortune, I'd love to hear it.

Empire wide cultural victory only works if you have more than twice the culture of the next highest opponent.

Ah. I was so close, too. I've only ever won by cultural once or twice, so I didn't really know the mechanics of it, although I'm sure I read them and forgot them.

Stupid Mayans. With their creepy leaderhead. And accurate calendars and stuff.
