Interesting game: Ottomans versus the world
The year is 500 AD. You are the Sultan of the glorious Ottoman Empire; under your enlightened rule, your people have enjoyed generations of peace and prosperity. However, a group of belligerent nations, jealous of your cultural and technological achievements, have recently allied against you. Within the last century, the Americans, Arabs, Aztecs, Incans, and Sumerians have all declared war on you. Despite your economic power, you currently have a very limited military, most of which has been deployed to protect the mountain passes that separate your peninsula from the rest of the continent. Can you hold off the hordes of enemy units your enemies are throwing against your thin defensive line long enough to research military tradition and gain tactical superiority with the fearsome Sipahi? Lacking the required Saltpeter and Horses, will you be able to secure these rare resources from Persia, your sourthern neighbor who has so far remained neutral in this conflict?

My goodness, that's quite a Maginot Line you have there.

Fortified pikeman in barricade on mountains... +225% 9.75 defense. The weak link is the desert barricade (still a 6.75 defense I think)... that's where I'd expect the AI to try and hit you.

The trick isn't to break some eggs to make an omelette, it's convincing the eggs to break themselves in order to aspire to omelettehood.

You'd think so, but for some reason the AI likes to attack Uskudar -- perhaps it prioritizes cities even if they have a slightly higher defense (I assume city with walls on hill > desert fort w/ barricade...)

Just wait for the volcano to blow wiping out the city and barricades. Would be a nice hole for the AI to go through.

Be even funnier if the AI had a stack of attackers on the volcano at the time it blew.

I forgot about the volcano... you can move on it, you just can't improve it.

Oh, and pike fortified (+25%) in town (nada) on hill (+50%) with walls (+50%):

+125% - 6.75 defense. Same as a desert barricade. So clearly the AI will hit you there.
