A favicon is like an image that is along side the address bar when you load it up.

It's nice to have, and the icons stay in the bookmark, at least temporarily. It's so much easier to find websites by looking at the icons.

Here's my first effort (to use just rename it favicon.ico and put it in the base apolyton directory)

It's the stupid IE way of having the favico recognized that DDoSes servers that don't have one for no reason. I'm not saying anything ill of the favico itself.
