Gorgeous map!

I really hope it works with the original Civ3 and doesn't require conquests or ptw. Tell me good news.

Irfanview, it is free and can resize it to 800 and make it a jpeg so it is not too painful for the board.

Sorry Oz, this maps for Conquests. Don't know if it'll work for just Civ.

Some changes:
-no cities on tundra and desert
-some resources are available on more terrain
-jungle also gives 1 resource
-no planting forest on tundra
-corruption is greatly reduced by increasing optimal number of cities and reducing corruption rates

-I think that's it

Selanne,

I tried the map with the Austrians (& not the others) and played as the Austrians. Unfortunately, after many hours of playing, the game crashed when I tried to upgrade a knight to my UU, the hussar. Here is a screenshot of the crash message.

Also, several resources are invisible! Tobacco, tropical fruit, oasis, and sugar (all the new C3C ones). You get the benefits if you put a road to them, but finding them is tricky.

Okay, I figured out what the experienced "Creationists" already know. You need this line in your PediaIcons text file:
#ANIMNAME_PRTO_Hussar
Hussar

I put mine just below the one for Cavalry, and it works fine in new games. Nothing I can do to salvage my current game however, unless I want to play without my UU!

Or maybe someone has a saved game editor lurking around here somewhere.....
