It was obviously a joke. Albeit with some truth in it.

I hope not. I'm one of those rare Mac-users that got along with him.

Good, then I'm doing the right thing. I was worried about length of post for a minute there.

Would a thread expressing curiosity about *my* pet peeves get well over a hundred responses?

I didn't think so.

What do you mean?

That you are Mings biggest peeve because of your particular style of posting and observations on Aployton and life generally.

or because of your name 'Thorn' as in ' thorn in.his side' and all that, or

because you are the opposite of a lightie ? (see above) or

because in a world divided into those who win hands up and those who win hands down, you are in the latter grouping

or

any combination of above.

I said it was "Doing Something After Being Told Not To Do It" but his tolerance of bfg9000 in this thread seems to belie that…

Nahhhh... believe it or not, I would really like to meet you. It would be a riot. Schedule permitting, I would make the run out to O'Hare and share a few drinks while you were between flights. I've done that before with other people.

Well actually I thought as much

I had to conform with the group this time but I'll see what I can do next time. I'm almost certainly coming back stateside mid january.

I met DanS here in Washington, which was fun but we both drank far too much beer (not compulsory) and had a lot of laughs (compulsory).

Although I have been told Chicago is freezing cold in the winter.....so that's a downside. Dan told me not to go there at this time of year
