There may be a problem...
Drones are probably the first to get Air power, right?
We'll get neural very soon.
I wonder if we can get Synth fuels from the drones and start researching Air Power ourselves... then switch to MMI once the drones research (and send) air power.

This may pip them to the 2 SPs. And, with those SPs, The Hive will be unstoppable.

Let's see... the techs we'll have are:
What we have now
EnvEcon & SoftHB (Uni probe)
Neural (researched)
Synth Fuels (given)
Does this allow us to start on Air power?
Does this allow us to switch to MMI?

Probably this needs to be discussed with the Drones. One of us gets Cloudbase, the other Cyborg. Cloudbase - its the only reason to prefer SMAX to SMAC

Well since they managed to pip our governor I reckon we should pip their cloudbase.

Who's a good sweet-talking drones representative? Surely we can talk them into such things.
Come to think of it... I think I'll go to the drones embassy to start some discussion on the matter.

The peace is currently holding the turn. Before we get our turn do we not need to talk a little what we are going to do next turn and after?

For example, my understanding is that we are currently building more crawlers for future SP building (we still need to decide which SPs we want, perhaps need to negotiate with buster).

Also after we get Doc AirPower (which is not far away mind you guys) are we going into war mode? What is the plan? Are we going to build cloud base or a bunch of Aerospace complex and noodles and choppers?

Maintaining the Objective
Have we discussed how we intend to win this game?

What type of victory are we going for?
(Transcendent? Conquest? Diplomatic? Economic? It doesn't matter so long as we win?)

Are we going to do it alone?

Are we going to team up with our perma-pact allies the Drones?
What about the Peace faction?

We need to discuss what we want to do.

Regardless of what our overall goal in this game is we need to set some objectives and stick to them as much as possible. Not having clear objectives, or changing them without very good reason, will be very wasteful and could likely lead to failure.

I am not sure what our overall goals are but this is what I see as our objectives over the next few turns.

OBJECTIVES

FIRST and most important objective
Tear through Uni's holdings like a pack of hungry wolves.

SECOND
For the immediate future, provide only enough military support to Peace to keep them alive and focus our efforts on the Uni invasion. Use Peace's base as a buffer against CyCon and to force CyCon to commit forces to its western borders. This should force CyCon to defend on both their eastern and western frontiers forcing CyCon to split their forces.

THIRD
Put our formers to useful work making boreholes.

FOURTH
Start putting Tree Farms, as required, in our cities to manage our eco-damage

FIFTH (starting in about 4-5 turns)
Start preparing for in invasion of the Data angles. Once we launch our invasion take it in 3-4 turns.

The above are the objectives that I see in decreasing order of importance.

In addition to the objectives where we will focus our efforts, we should remain flexible to take advantage of cheap opportunities that may come our way.

I would also like to perhaps start making and launching needlejet Colony Pods once we get fusion power, as well as getting the Longevity Vaccine (two less drones per base would be nice), and the cloning vats if the game is still going on by then, but first ensure we focus on our objectives.

I would prefer entering into a true merger with the Drones. If we do merge the two factions like CyCon and Uni merged, our victory would be almost assured.

welcomed initiative cammarade!

i think we should go for diplomatic victory along with our allay (drones) . it seems to be the surest path.

i firmly opose to begin using more then a very necesary minimum of our production to anything else but military units (including taking care of eco demage)

I think Comrade Mead has listed very good objectives. Our final objective is a coorperative victory with the Drones. I am not sure which kind of victory we will be after, but diplomatic victory sounds to me very likely.

I strongly agree to objective 1-3. I am less concerned about ecodamage since we will be using specialists heavy approach. Also I'm not sure if we should go invade the Angels this soon. We may need some time to pacify the newly conqured Uni bases, also I'd like to pick up the research rate a little after the Uni war. I'd say perhaps give Roze another 10 years of peace.

SP wise I need to double check if we have agreed to let Drones have Longevity Vaccine. We have HGP and VW and will be specialist heavy so it is less important for us than for the Drones. The Cloning Vats on the other hand is very important for us.

Forum merger doesn't sound to be a problem. But we will never be like the CPU, because essentially CPU is CCs control two factions. But the Drones and us will be independent, but closely coorperative.

i think we better checked the military capabilityes of angels after finishing war with CPU (and i bileave it will eventualy be with ALL CPU and not juat UNI). if we have a chance -better finish them without wating....

Here's a list of units that I think we need to remember to produce/rush the coming turn:

1. Since we only have 9 Apache and 4 skyhawk, and 2 skyhawk and 1 Apache would be tight up in the east front, I think we need to build two more Apache for the Univ invasion. They should be built in the bases that are closer to the uni front.

2. We need to rush the transport.

3. We need to think about building a drop colony pod in east bases.

4. Seat of Uni, Kommuzima needs a defense probe, and Roko needs a scout.

5. If it can be spared from other military productions, then Franky can build a colony pod for setting the base at (22,34).
