Using Conquests
As has been brought up in the PTWDG I, if you load the game in Conquests, you get more information out of the F8 screen.
Should this be allowed?

I don't see why not, although I haven't done it yet.

I don't really care one way or the other. The info doesn't strike me as all that crucial, so I'm ok with people using it. But if others feel strongly that it shouldn't be used, I'm fine with a ban.

The trick isn't to break some eggs to make an omelette, it's convincing the eggs to break themselves in order to aspire to omelettehood.

For those of us who do not have Conquests yet, can you give us an idea what additional information is available?

It tells you your civs % of world land area, % of world population, lists your biggest rivals in those categories (this is for tracking domination victory). Then it lists your top cultural city, and your biggest rival (exact culture points, to track 20k culture victory), then it lists total civ culture the same way (for the 100k option).
It also has # of rivals still alive, SS parts & UN stuff, but that isn't really relevent.

I don't have a problem with it. Sounds like the same kind of info that was available in Civ2.

Oh, another reason to avoid conquests is that the saves will be unreadable in 'normal' PTW.

It's ok to load the save in C3C to view the F8 screen, just don't play the save in Conq.
