Thinking of making a large scale WW2 Scenario
Hey guys,
I know there are a lot of WW2 Scenarios, but I want to make a new one based on Capain Nemo's idea of 2194 Days of War. I want to use a modified Gigamap of the world to show the true nature and size of the war. If anyone has any ideas, and would like to help, please respond here, or e-mail me...

Nemo, I was wondering if it would be ok if we based the scenario off of 2194 Days of War. If this is a problem, just tell me.

Thanks

There IS something to be said for transposing "2194 Days of War" onto a gigamap! If nothing else, it should add a year or so to any multiplayer game involving Xin Yu.

I have a couple of suggestions:

1) Make it for multiplayer, ie. no massive imbalance in favor of one or more civs to compensate for AI incompetence. (Then we'll see just how good Xin Yu really is!

2) Make the Pacific Ocean its full size. Use an accurate, to scale map.

Go for it!

Thanks for the ideas...

Update...
I've decided to make it a multiplayer emphasis, but I will also be including seperate events files for each individual country with the exception of the NEUTRALS.

I have an important question for you guys.
I need to know if I should include Britain and the United States as one civ called the Allies. My reasoning is that in the war, they seperated almost as one country with US officials running the war from Britain.

Please respond and tell me what you think.

Update #2

Map is about 75% completed.
I have finished the entire Western Hemisphere (North and South America), I also finished Africa and most of the Middle East and into India.

It is HUGE!
186 x 148

To put the size in perspective, the United States is 24 squares wide as opposed to only 12 squares wide in the regular World map. Also, the Pacific Ocean is huge. Hawaii is 24 tiles away from the coast in America.

The map looks great, and I hope to post pictures here tomorrow.

Also, I am still looking for help with this scenario, hopefully after you see the map, it will interest some of you.

Thanks, Pap
