Am I the only one who hates reality shows?
Sometimes I feel old. Because it seems like reality shows are the hip thing, and what the younger generation is into. I try to stay up on popular culture, but I draw the line with reality shows. I don't understand why they are popular.

I predicted the new show called the Simple Life to bomb. The previews looked so stupid. It doesn't look funny or entertaining at all. I don't understand why this show is doing so well- http://www.cnn.com/2003/SHOWBIZ/TV/1...eut/index.html

Has the world come to an end?

Surely the reality show craze has to end sometime doesn't it?

i actually wrote a letter to the producers of that show for animal cruelty. it's one thing if they're eating live things... but there was one episode that involved snakes in some capacity, and the people were rather rough with them.

First time they showed Survivor (In DK that is), I loved it (Great fun)... second time, it was ok... not as good as the first time (Changing basic rules made it more boring)... Third time, the annoying changed rules from the second time was enchanced (sp?)... getting more boring... fouth time I only saw it because it was a special edition... this time I only saw the beginning, and got disgusted...

...never seen other reality shows than Survivor though...

I hate them all. I do have a general idea of what the current reality shows are, and what they're about, but nothing else...

I like the 'quest series' on the History channel, like Pioneer Quest and Quest for the bay. I never saw the Klondike one, though.

I hate them, don't watch them at all -- any of them.
But if Barney was the only alternative, it would be a tough call...

All reality shows are trash...My wife has pushed "the Simple Life" on me for the last couple of weeks, and all that it has done for me is lower my faith in humanity. Hilton and (Ritchie?) are proving themselves to be stupid, selfish, bit*hy, and incapable of surviving by themselves in "real world situations" if that is entertainment, then I could just call up some of the people who have pissed me off in real life in order to get my fill of this kind of crap.

I do like Fear Factor though, I consider it more of a game show than a reality show

I stopped watching TV altogether around a year ago, but reality shows are especially odious, yes.
