DL it some hours ago, but haven't had time to play yet. It looks good though!

Personally, it gives me this feeling of love/hatred....they fixed up a bunch of bugs (though not everything), added some new tooltips/features, and increased the difficulty of the economical management by several orders of magnitude...perhaps one or two too many. 1.01 was ridiculously easy, but 1.02 almost seems to be the complete opposite.

Downloading as I type.

My expectations aren't too high for the moment as, well, it's still only 1.02 and it takes Paradox a while to get things completely right.

The fact that my copy of Victoria is still in the post somewhere probably won't help matters either but I'm hoping I might be able to get it working anyway.

Btw does anybody know why the size of the Spanish patch is twice that of the Eng/Fre patches? Curious.

It has "exclusive" copy protection not included in any other release (very likely to be the reason). It's also of note that they get the 1881 scenario in this patch (though the files for this are rather small).

So in essence, it's the Spanish publisher's fault.

I've read the opinions on europa's forums but what does everyone here have to say about 1.02? Is Victoria worth it at this time?

I'm liking 1.02 so far. It does get moving much more slowly, but I find that it's more balanced now, and the industry techs now have much more meaning, like they should. The only thing that's bugged me so far, is that colonization happens even quicker then it used to - which was already far too fast. If you don't lay a claim in the first two or three years, you won't ever.

Vickie is absolutely worth it. It's already a good game, and knowing Paradox, it will become even better. There are some thnigs that should be tweaked of course, but that will be done, be sure!

Unlike HoI, it actually has gameplay and, unlike EU2, conquests should be reasonable. I think one would be hard-pressed to outdo Napoleon.
