Game Mechanics Changes: Vanilla to Conquests
The manual seems to be woefully inadequate at explaining what has changed between vanilla Civ and Conquests, especially the little things. For example: the new Great Wall and Wonder Rushing rules aren't documented.

Could a comprehensive list be compiled? I don't know either version well enough to notice notice most of the changes until it's too late. Forgive me if such a list already exists.

IIRC there was a thread here that listed most all of it. Make the date back a few months and scan them.

Well here's what I've managed to find, besides what was mentioned above:

1) On Armies and MGL's. IIRC the FP and GPT bugs have been fixed.

2) On resource distribution, tech buying and misc other stuff

3) On artillery bombardments

4) On modern warfare i.e. TOW infantry, choppers, mobile SAMs etc.

Does anybody know what TOW stands for?

I have seen the list and there is many things that aren't in that thread, plus however much else that people haven't found. According to Jeff of Atari, over 250+ changes to the Epic Game have been made, but they haven't released that list to the general public.

Yes, a comprehensive list would be nice, but its going to take someone with sizable motivation and time.

I envy that man. :P

Since initial fielding, five variations of the missile and two variations of the TOW subsystem have been fielded. In FY92 the direct-attack TOW 2A missile was replaced as the standard production missile by the top-attack TOW 2B missile - both are in use.
"Direct-attack" indicates a flat trajectory (i.e., hit the target on the front or side). "Top-attack" implies that near the target it goes high and hits the top of the target, where there is less armor.

From what I have read, the comprehensive list already exists; it is only a matter of convincing them to release it.

I was mucking about the editor and noticed that Wealth now gives one gold for every four shields instead of every eight. I wonder if now it makes more sense to build Wealth, instead of units to disband in other cities.
