Specifying starting locations in C3C
Ok I'm confused. I used the C3C editor to create a map and specify the starting locations of the civs I want to play, including myself. I can't get the game to start with these locations. The only one I can see of course is mine at the start of the game, but it's not where I should be.
Any ideas?

Did you set a player for each site (like "player1" for yours)?

False alarm. I tried a dozen times before posting, but I got frustrated and deleted and replaced all the starting locations AGAIN, and it's working now. Sorry about that. I'll try a dozen-and-a-half times before asking a question again. LOL

In case it was not clear you can do either a set properties to play1 or a specific civ. If player1 you get that location and the civ you chose, if specfic, you have to choose that civ to get the location.

Another thing that can affect starting location is civ traits, Seafaring for example. You need to set Custom Player Data to override IIRC.

Seafaring overriding your set starting locations should be fixed in 1.12

That's good to know Jesse, thank you. I haven't modded much with 1.12 yet.
