losing to win a Conquest victory
Last week I played a MP game to test if I could at least join a game. Hosting had allready proved to be a problem (see thread on it).

Anyway I was messing up and felt a bit tricked by someone playing the Sumerians. He was about to take my capital. I decided to quit and in order to support the enemies of the Sumerians I gave my other city, techs and gold to the Americans.
I think what happened is that during the negotiations my capital was taken. Finishing the negotiations therefore wiped me of the map. Next thing I see is a conquest victory by myself..!! Big joke, I actually still wonder what the other players encountered. I forgot the names of my opponents, I was playing as "surfer".

This seems to be a bug. Has anyone encountered the same? I should have taken screenshots and have tried to contact some of the other players, but I was a bit in a hurry.
