TurnChat / Senate Session 15 - The Senate Awaits
Thanks to all for their patience in waiting for the reports on TurnChat / Senate Session 14 to get posted. These are now listed and will be presented as the previous Session's minutes when the Senate reconvenes.

Please accept my apologies for the delays encountered in posting the minutes. They needed to be checked over by the President prior to release. And as my plantation is on the other side of our Country from the Presidents cattle property, well these things can take some time to coordinate.

For those that could not make it, feel free to leave any feedback that you feel could assist in the upcoming session of the Senate.

As I am learning, it is easy to contribute to a Senate session.

As a member of the Democracy Civ Group, you are already a Senator. You just need to show up for the Session.

The times for this will be advertised on this thread in the coming days.

Once at the session you can load the Sacred Save and participate as the session works its way through the agenda.

So maybe it is time to get out of the Pub for a hour or two; leave those maids for some deserved rest; let your managers look after your wood shops; gather your Axe and Shield and come along and be apart of the Senate Session.

Now, standby for news for the time frame on Turn Chat / Senate Session Number 15!

so, as FAM I have tried some burgains

Persia seems to grady, so they are out of the business. Spain and Egypt give the same price for Construction and Republic.

Construction = 552 gold
Republic = 865 gold + 8gpt

Egypt has the monarchy too. They will trade it for
863 gold and our World map
or
865 gold + 1 gpt

But I have forgotten to check what is our research level now

We have no current research...

I wonder if we spend some of our gold on internal items, will these nations still trade with us for a lesser amount of gold. They seem to be asking for what we have in our vaults.

What difficulty is this?

Alright, you must decide if you REALLY want Monarchy at all, frankly. If you don't want it as a govt, chances are it's a worthless tech all together to the human player. However, if Egypt is the only one with it, you could whore it to all the other players.

Keep in mind if you only get 20 gold for it, it doesn't matter as much when whoring because they WILL get it from the other AI's. Always sell to the one with the most money first, though.

Second, we should be whoring that map around!

The biggest eye-opener I had from the second game was how much that map can be worth! Sell it to EVERYONE, EVERY TURN! You're missing on free GPT if you dont. They all will buy it as long as you make one tile improvement/reveal one tile of fog each turn.

Third, don't put money into research, but at least have a scientist to work at minimum.

We only played two turns this time. That took over 1.5 hours as it was! Please do not play ahead; it takes away from the "fun" of the game. Paddy will post 'minutes' of the game simular to what he has posted for the last turn chat.

We will settle one more city on the next turn on the Southern island and another city 3 turns from that North of NA on the Gems.

I vote that we don't land on the island with the goody hut and lots of barbs at all until such time as those horsemen are not a factor.

I'm only counting one result that's worth the almost certain loss of the exploring military unit from the goody hut.
