I think it means, once all the wonders are built, the game ends and whomever holds the most wins.

I don't know, but if it is the case, what is the point? I mean the game is not going to last much longer if all the wonders are build.

I could have sworn that it meant that, as soon as all the wonders are built, the game end BUT the civ with the highest total score wins.

(I thought someone posted a couple weeks ago stating that they had built most of the wonders, but still lost because another civ's score was higher. Hard to remember the details tho.)

Yeah, when the last wonder gets built the game is over. Highest score at that point wins.

That would be me. I had built 21 of the 29 wonders, but lost because when I built the last wonder the lousy frogs had a 200 point lead in score. So I went back one turn, switched from wonder to ICBM (screw the lost shields) and bombed them back to the stone age before I built the 29th wonder.

Wonder "Victory" is just a game-ending condition, not really a victory condition.

It would really be useless at the highest levels (deity and Sid), if it was a wonder count.

So just another gimmicky type of victory, like Regicide then (which sounds remarkably like capture the flag from FPS games to me...).

Well, notice that it is turned OFF by default. It's just an option for use if you want it (like Regicide, which seemed to be very popular in games like Age of Kings...and the French Revolution, and the English Civil War, and...
