The death of BIG, Europe 1750, etc.
We had alot of good storythreads like BIG and 1750 was a mega-brain child. And now because of our apathy they're dead. I propose we restart at least one of them.

If we restart 1750, I say we keep it to a plain story thread. We simply don't have the manpower to recruit enough dedicated moderators to keep the battle thingy working.

No Mao you're wrong. I would act as the battle mod all we need is the map mod. *looks pitifully at Scott F*.

And I say we resucitate (sp?) BIG from the very beggining. Let people make claims all over again.

I would do the map. But I do not know where to find one detailed enough to show all of the regions and such. I did not care for BTs map (sorry, William). It was aesthetically lacking.

Some dip games have nice maps, but none of them are detailed enough for our purposes.

Mmmm yes problems, problems. Well hmmm. I think one thing that would help is if we simply took away the forest squares.

Geo BIG in official terms the Big Huge Modern Day War Thread and Europe 1750 were both basically RPG threads. In BIG you took a modern nation or combined current nations to make your Übernation. Than you attempt to lead it to victory.

1750 was were you chose a European or Asian nation in the year 1750 and did about the same thing. Except that 1750 was more like Dip than a story thread. Even though I would of liked a bigger back story *harrumph*

Pardon my ignorance once again but how is a dip thread different from a story thread?

You could always restart the BIG thread in the new "Big Huge Games" forum couldn't you?

yeah, let's do BIG.

but we need clear rules about battles and everything first.

suggestion for battles:
-attacker posts his moving of troops to the frontier
-defender takes some [b]brief[b] action (ie, he can't mobilize an army)
-attacker posts his attack
-defender posts what he does, etc.
-etc.

Europe 1750 is General_BTs design that is from the board game "Empire In Arms" that is also played online frequently.
