Wonder Bombing
Its really annoying.

I've never had this done to me before, surprisingly, until Smartfart did it to me recently.

I wear a look of amazement. Makeo tried to do it to me in a game last week. Or tried and failed. Oh, hang on. He means he's never had it done to him before. Okay, fair enough. Forget I spoke.

I've never tried it. Presumably you just select Industrial Sabotage? And with plain old diplos you just take your chance?

Yeah... Makeo did that to a few of my wonders last night. It was kind of annoying, but I solved that problem by just killing anything that moved near my cities

I agree it's anoying

Particulary 2nd one which i was preparing for Leo's. In archipelago map we're playing,we had no choice but build our wonder cities on coastlines which makes them extremely vulnerable for all sort of sabotage.

I just started using caravans to build wonders.
When the science became available, I would sweep the area for units, then build the wonder in one turn.
If I didn't do that, Makeo would just send a diplo my way.

By the way...I've seen something you were doing what never crossed my mind. Planting those forests around coastal cities to prevent beachhead

I was preparing to do that in my duel against Arii, but too late My capital fell before i had a chance to react. The game isn't over but he have upper hand as always.

Too bad you'll be away from civ for next 6 months.

I was very careful to make sure you couldn't use the pikeman, catapult combo against me. Any forests within my city radius don't have roads on them. I overlooked that one you landed on with a catapult and pikeman. It caused me a little stress dislodging him.

Good to see "makeo the poisoner" being discomforted.

Well he's having trouble finishing me off in our duel because he can't get at my main cities so he decided to poison them all down to 1 pop Fortunately I'm in fundy so it really didn't do as much damage as otherwise - even a city with 1 pop can support at least 10 units I think his real intention was to destroy all my improvements but I sold them all as soon as I saw he had spies

But it sure shot your productivity.

And there's nothing quite like stealing mono, dipraping MC just before it's built, and then buiulding it yourself.

And there are ways to protect yourself against the diprape of your wonder thing even if you have coastal cities. And I'd be happy to play against anyone who built all his cities inland just to avoid having wonders dipraped, especially in double production.
