Braveheart - the game
My flatmate just bought this for $20 Australian. It seems like it could be good, but there also seems to be a lot to learn first. Anyone played this? Why haven't I heard of it before?

It's strategy in the main planning part, and then a 3d battle-field. (A bit like Shogun)

Never heard of it ML. I think I would give it a go for $20. I'll have to keep my eyes open for it. By the way, when was it released?

No, my friend, do NOT go there! BH was one of the buggiest, most unsupported game Eidos has ever released (and that is saying ALOT). I followed the forums over there and here's what happened briefly. BH did/does not work very well out of the box and Eidos knew that. However, they had to terminate its contract with Red Lemon (I believe) for some reason I forgot. Therefore, there would be no patches for BH, which it desparately needed a bunch (as with most Eidos games). Eidos did somewhat apologize for releasing BH and dropping its support for it. What they tried to do was to give discounts on other Eidos products to be released. Please, MKL, do not waste your time on BH.

Oh, ok. What a shame. It looked like it could have had potential. I guess that's why they were selling it for $20, yeah?

I hadn't actually played any of it yet. My first exam is in 10 days!

BRAVEHEART IS THE BIGGEST PIECE OF CRAP I HAVE EVER PLAYED!!!

I recommend getting "Shogun: Total War" - it's everything Braveheart was supposed to be and more!

I'd love Shogun, but that would require a 3D card I believe. Of which I have none. I'm not sure that I want Shogun that bad. Ahh, well. *sigh*
