Yes, I was bummed about it too - to the naval sim community it's like hearing Civ III just got cancelled. Why does this happen to all the good games?

I hate to ask dumb questions, but are you sure? I was just on the site about a month ago and everything was on track for an April or May release. Where did you see the announcement?

Well look at the link. Larry Bond himself says it was canceled. They might try to find a new publisher, though.
