Warmongers or Closet Warmongers
Which do you prefer? Personally, I prefer war mongers - at least you know where you stand I hate it when people sneak aorund trying to start wars without getting the blame for them

I love people who are predictable... whether they are warmonger in nature, or just peaceful. They are easy to play, because you know what to expect.

It's the unpredictable ones... They are the dangerous ones. Then you have to be prepared for EVERYTHING

I prefer warmongers, cuz they get frustrated easily.

But my funest games are ones you have to be creative with and even then could lose.
Ones who push the limits of game even when it "hurts"

Most people I play are either predictable war mongers or peace mongers. The only one I'm a bit suss about lately is Berzerker. He has a peaceful rep but did sneak attack me recently. I respect peaceful builders.
As for AH, well it's a bit of an obsession lately... espousing peace and denegrating other peaceful civs, all the time attempting to provoke war.

I prefer people that play Civ like Chess, not like a buddy-buddy game of checkers.

For us I think our nightly civ games are like the modern equivalent of the men's poker night

Hydey examines a sandwich from the supper supplied by Horse: "Is this very new cheese or very old meat?"

Mrs Horse, bothered by finbar's smoking around the poker table: "Would you mind smoking in the direction of New Jersey?"

Deity, equally bothered by the same thing: "Let's all chip in and buy Horse another window"

If you gave Hydey sandwiches, he'd probably ask to have the crusts cut off.

I'm sorry, but what is the question here? In my time on this board, I've only heard of a handful of MP games won by someone reaching AC. So I assume every game is going to end up as a war sooner or later. Personally, I'd rather attack than defend when the war comes .

I like get knee deep in my enemies dead troops....raze cities to the ground.....take your mother and spouse into my harem.....torch your caravans and torture your diplomats! The small civs i like to pimp for tribute...the larger ones i plant nukes in their unsuspecting cities, clean up the crispies and put the survivors in work camps.

Nah! I'm not that bad.....i will peacefully build most of the time but security is a must. Keep to your borders and we should avoid war....provoke us and we shall retaliate with swift and brutal vengeance....the pendulum can swing in any direction. No guts...no glory!

Tautology. Or redundancy, at the very least. You can't raze anything anywhere but to the ground.
