Can we name a piece of land?
the game is almost out, any one know about this yet? Can we claim a piece of land and give it a name as it will make it easier to keep track of vast number of land at the late game?

That would be cool. I know this idea has come up several times before, like the first civ to explore a certain area gets to name it, or being able to place flags. But I don't think that they've implemented any of them.

This is a good alternative to the naming feature. I constantly lose track of where my units were because the map were too big too hard to manage.

Since implementing the code needed to name a piece of land is a little difficult at this stage in the game (pardon the pun), why not just add a bookmark feature. We bookmark specific tiles on the map and cycle through them using a couple of keys.
