Why do these sorts of problems always happen to me?
brought the game, couldn't install it coz my dvdrom drive wouldn't read it, (reads every other cd). so I had to copy all files onto mums, then move it over to mine, install from hdd, then put a no-cd patch on it, then.....I install the new patch from activision, and surprise surprise, can't play it coz it needs the cd. SO...I am gonna hafta wait for a 1.1 nocd patch aren't I?

managed to get round the prob

but now it is playing even slower than before, I'm on a 450, 64 Ram, TNT2, its slow...I loaded up my saved game, and it ran fine without the patch

screw the patch, wait for civ3, lets see if they can do any better, and if not, I am gonna make my own, at least *I* know I won't screw people around
