2 same civs at the same time happen to anyone?

Well, I think I have an odd problem here. I play 17 civs
So I often have some civ conquest early in the game (before 1 AD) Some time there is a new civ form after that but that is not the odd part. The problem is sometime it use the same civ name with civ that currently in the game. For example I have 2 zulu in the game at the same time!!! Does any one have this problem?
