Has anyone created a earth map, from a real earth photo, with the "bmp2ctp2" programm?

The program can be found at many sites, including

As for making a map from it yet, I tried but got too many errors from it and I didn't want to sit there changing all the terrain again after already making a world map from a tiled atlas. If someone were to take the time and convert a world image to the required bmp format for the converter then maybe maps would fly from it, but alas no one has that much time.
