I found I got into it fairly quickly, mainly through having the EU forums to tell me what was going on.

It was still months before I found the religion screen, though...

It fit me like a glove.

I enjoy exploring new games and discovering it on my own, rather then knowing everything before youg et it out of the box, where's the fun in that? I like being able to naively stumble through my first game, and discovering whole new things the next time through. Of course, the fact that I like to roleplay rather then strive for world domination, victory points, or similiar goals, probably helps.

Hey mr or mrs Osweld, great to hear that you play games that way! I always thought I was the only player in the world that didnt care about "victory points" but played the game as a role playing experience, without knowing what to expect. Exactly the way the real kings ruled their lands!

I also like to do things that make me actually "lose" the game in terms of victory points...for instance i never attack a country that didnt do something bad first, no matter how weak it is. I also dont hurt the natives in EU unless they attacked me first.

In EU2. if you ally with someone, you are automatically at war with the countries your ally is at war with. I didnt know that...but its fun to find that out yourself. And no reloading saved games!

A Fun and great game EU1/2, pity Paradox are thieves. Well theres kazaa fortunately!
