Your favorite government
In my second CTP2 poll, I am asking everyone what their favorite CTP2 government is. My vote goes for ecotopia.

Have to go for ecotopia, if nothing else for the eco-ranger and the low pollution levels, and great balance between war and science.

Must agree with Immortal Wombat here: it is. If I sent an eco-ranger to one of your cities, the people would be happy there because they wouldn't have to choke on your corporate pollution.

No, they'd be dead, but unable to choke on corporate pollution!

Actual I don't like any of them, because of the city limits. Only 60 cities for Ecotopia that is too little if you want to conquer the whole planet on a gigantic map and if you like cities too much than you will have a problem. And also the pollution levels are not low enough to avoid problems with destroyed terrain. So I increased the pollution reducing effects of some building. That was too much so I gave some other buildings an pollution increasing effect. Now here is the outcome. And my vote goes to Ecotopia although it can't reduce the pollution level enough even without modifications, there is no better government in a default CTP2 game.

Since I voted the Eco-Ranger as my favorite special unit.. it's only logical that I voted Ecotopia as my favorite Gov.

Corporate Republic has its merit though.

CTP2 treats pollution too severely though.

When (yes, "when") we get a *.til editor, I plan to make a semi-polluted set of terrains, which have half the stats of normal terrain, but are not as dead as dead tiles currently are. This should alleviate the damage a bit

Corporate Republic is a must!!

But, from time to time Ecotopia has its bonusses like killing massively!!

I have found that in CTP2, like in real life, Ideals are un-mercifull

My favourite government isn't on the list: Tyranny. I love to rule with an iron fist. Sure I lose in all categories of production, science, and trade. Even happiness is down, but man isn't it fun smashing those citizens into submission?

For mid-game production, population control and the solidifying of a large military force there is no other government like Communism.

When I used to play CTP1, I would often experience a collapse in my economy and riots when switching to corporate republic after having used communism...I guess that's realistic because most of the former communist block is collapsing right now...but in CTP2 the transaction is far smoother. Still, Communism beats the corpoate republic for production and population control any time.
