When captured alien lifeforms are attacked by native

I don't know if this is old news but I just noticed it very recently.

I read somewhere that captured alien life forms were not attacked by the planet's aliens but this is not always true.
I've seen captured IoD attacked when carrying something (like an artifact).

I've also noticed that ships stacked with captured IoD sometimes are attacked by native IoD. I haven't seen the same behaviour with MWs.

Does anyone know any more stuff on this?

Mind Worms will not attack other Mind Worms but may do so if your tame ones are stacked with other units.

IoDs happily attack other IoDs whether stacked or not, and Spore Launchers seem happy to bombard you as well. I have very little experience with wild vs tame Locusts, so I do not know how that is handled.

Thanks for the information suplied.

I only mentioned MWs and IoD because I don't have SMAX and I never seen locust stacked with conventional units.
