yes, that gargantuan legion does look rather humorous walking on that tiny road, towering above the trees.

and yes, red is a new color for civs.

theres rumors that you can play all 16 at once.

rumors mind you.

Overall these graphics are pretty good.

About making the terrain different in different parts of the world: they could have pine forests in the north, deciduous forests in the mid-latitutudes and tropical forests in the equatorial areas. Plains could vary from high to low grass and from extremely flat to rolling. I think a case could be made for not seperating grasslands and plains as seperate terrain types.

I understand about the rivers, this pic is not what I'm asking it to look like, I'm just simply showing that it can look better. Trying to encourage Firaxis to look again.

About the unlimited choice of put anywhere any terrain you like, I've asked Firaxis if that can be done, no response yet, but that is something that I really hope can be done.

Because Earwicker is right, it does get boring to see grassland everywhere and plains everywhere. There's no real variety in the terrain, it's just plain. (pun intended)

ancient, I took the size of the city out, I also took out the tree's, and some other stuff, just so that I could start drawing on a clean image.

ancient, I will/might show you, but it's difficult because there aren't many good quality screenshots of Civ3 with all the areas I would like to work on.
