Who wants to test play my very outbalanced one-continent diplo map ?
I've created a very balanced continent for diplo games.
Who wants to test play it with me friday-saturday nights for the next 3 weeks ? (23:00 GMT)

Only 2-3 sessions so we can find the bugs in the map, and make it even better so we can start a real game in september when everyone is back from vacation.

it's a flat one.
I hardly use trade in my games, thus I don't really care

I think diplo games work better on one continent maps,
so there's something to negotiate about. (borders)
I think this one is very good since it has very much natural borders.

Wow how do you survive with little trade, even I with my wildly erratic ways tend to use trade to get some valuable gold behind me and a few techs too

Cybershy,

The map looks nice but I have a suggestion: why not create a basic start-up position with the civ already a bit settled?

Give every player 5x* size cities the, 5 pikemen for the first defense and a basic starting tech set (gunpowder, republic, etc..) as a boost to speed up the game.

You would have to save the game as a scenario to do this. If people start whining about various starting locations do bids for the various civs (+100, +200, +300 gold for the poorest location etc.. or downward bidding -who chooses that civ for the lowest price-).

It would dramaticaly speed up the game and allow for more action.

I think the starting of a diplo game is very important.
Eventhough giving every civilization some cities etc. might speed the game up, it might turn out to be a completely different game.

I think the starting locations on this map are all equal.

Ras, I usually build much city improvements. They give me much money and make my civilization grow faster which gives me much money as well. If I have a good relation with other civs they'll send me caravans anyway thus I don't need to build them.
