I'm no expert on history, just pointing out logic faults with this particular addition in the game. I think this is one of those things that Firaxis will be able to add to to the back of the box, for sales.

although we dont want historical truth getting in the way of a fun game, becasue that is what we are discusisng , a game , not history !!!!

If only we could reach a definition of fun that everyone could agree on ...

A good friend of mine will absolutely refuse to play any fantasy/sci fi game even if it has identical rules and maps to a historical game he loves, just with different names. For him, if it is make believe it is not fun. Go figure

strange huh, it is all make beleive !!!!!!

Although i do agree i dont like the Space tpye scenarios in civ 2, nor have i evr played SMAC... I like the concept of bieng in charge of humans and setting their future ... so it needs some soet of reality, just not too much !
