1. I am interested in playing a "One Wonder per Civ" game.

2. I am ready to start this weekend (Sundays are best).

3. Chris, I do not (and did not) feel insulted. There was a concern to be clarified, nothing more.

4. I think it is up to the Organizer of the game to choose the players. Ah, pity the poor Organizer; pulled in all directions by conflicting loyalties, ideas of what combination of players would make the best game, and guesses as to who will stay the course and who might leave early...

Do your best, Slow, and let me know if I will be playing in this one.

Whether you get wiped out or not, 6 pm Central Time is 7 pm Eastern Time (my time), and I must stop by 9 pm ET (having to get up for work at 5 am is awful and I'm the carpool driver Monday). An earlier time might be better. I can play any 3 hours between 9 am and 9 pm Eastern Time Sunday. I can also play 6-9 pm Eastern Time weeknights.

How does 6 p.m. Eastern sound to you, and all?
Looks like Tourney round may be in morning, and I can have that done before day starts cranking.

The only reason I keep suggesting evenings, is I like to get out.

It will be a pleasure to play against you and Slow, too. But there are still 4 other players. Who will they be? And what will the rules be?

I suggest the rules that were listed for the Tourney Round 1, since they seem to be generally acceptable and appropriate to 1x1x games. The exception would be that formal alliances are allowed.

Further thought: Has the map been discussed? Will it be random or known? If known, which map? World or Europe/Asia? The map should be very large, with 7 players. I'm sure Slow can appreciate the reason for that.

So far it's looking this way:

Cavebear and Chris, 6:00 pm eastern
Maximus, I think you're a 6 o'clocker too
Boann at 4:00 pm mountain time
SlowwHand at 5:00 pm

5 so far. Maybe Dylan. Maybe another.

Was thinking random, yes large, map.

We can meet on ICQ, and I'll get word to Chris via Yahoo.

Tuatha. There are 4 Tribe members in this NON TRIBE game.
Some had shown concern. Not Cavebear, but others.

I'm not expecting a diplogame, but more like "Rah rules". (good old Rah )

No city bribe, and no swapping of cities or units.

I don't have simultaneous installed, and neither does Boann, I don't think.
If someone does, and wants to host, that's fine. It hinders battles some though, so might need to think if we want that.

Ok with all?
If so, what else needs discussion?

Non-simul is fine with me. Are unit bribes permitted? You mentioned only cities.

I'll be here before 6 pm EDT.

Two things Rah's rules don't allow are alliances in game and tech trading, which I like doing.

Call it Chris 62 rules if you like, but is it permitted, or do we have to play the game in isolation and at odds the whole way?

I'd rather have a good friendly game, then a silent as a tomb encounter while waiting for the others to come get me.

Bribing units is fine.

Trading tech and making peace or alliance is fine.
War not mandatory.

and I drove the car first.
