Succession games and Great Library
Hi everybody, I am looking for help !
I plan to find the links to all the succession games in ordrer to make a thread for the Great Library. For me, they’re not only fun (yes, they are !), but also really a part of the knowledge and history of the Apolyton community. So here’s what I propose. If you participated or know very well of one succession game, you post a reply in which you indicate the date it started, the date it finished, who participated and a brief summary of the settings. Then of course, you put the links (some are on more than one thread). Does is sound ok to you, or why not even a good idea. I will try to put an example this evening. As I said, any help welcome.

Hi Julius, I have hosted a few of the Succession games will post links tomorrow from work when I have sobered up ...
I have to agree that they represent some serious aspects of the Apolyton Community - however, in general - good Civ they are NOT!!

They are indeed more a case of headless chicken style leadership! Running units willy-nilly, changing short term goals every 10 or 20 turns, all with some vague objective at the end. The discussions are good, tho. Most people manage to type up entertaining turn summaries, as well.

Maybe this is the start of the fiction section of the GL...

The only succession games in which I've participated are all still active on this forum:
  • Succession game - Anatolia
  • Succession in the real world
  • Crusader scenario succession game
Once they are done (Anatolia should be very soon, if people will play their turns), I'm sure some summaries will end up here.
