New Challenge
I was bored one day so I tried to find something to challenge myself. Here's how it works...the object is to get as many wonders and cities by 1AD. However, you may only build wonders in your capital city. No other city may build a wonder. 20 points for every wonder built, 1 point for every city built. You MUST play on a small map (custom settings are up to you but I recommend them), it must be 2x2x, King, Villages only (Meaning no money from barbarians), only 1 AI. You may not attack the AI at all until 1000BC (to prevent free cities from the AI), and no conquering the world. I was able to get 26 wonders and 120 cities by 1AD bringing my score to 640. I have the game if anyone wants to see it. I think I would have been able to get space flight by going republic a little sooner.

ok.Riot factor set to ??.I managed 17 wonders with far less cities and not much effort really. No ics either.I'll try harder and see what happens.

no such thing as cheating against the AI.

Riot factor is normal. I had my tech rate to the point where I would sometimes get 2 techs in 1 turn. If you want to get those last 9 wonders you need lots and lots of cities. And you're playing on a small map right with the settings I told you?

Well I thought Sean liked to tweak the files a little. And this changes how the AI plays.

This is a tad tedious.I played king level/1 settler/villages only/1 AI/random small map

I ran out of room using a "semi" sleaze at 124 cities.25 wonders "only".I probably should have went to Democracy or Republic but I went Commie.Only the capitol went past size 8.Probably would have been better to switch government-rush aquaducts and celebrate to 12 in support cities. My cap was only size 10.I did a poor job of the SSC in hindsight.Only near the end did I get more than 1 tech per turn.
The AI only managed to get down 3 cities before I had them encircled with cities. That went to 1 at 1000bc

Launching a ship at 1ad is very do-able while also building all wonders.I dont think this many cities is needed.

I think they're needed. Remember you can only build wonders in your capital.

On MGE, you can play games where units have double the movement of normal, and production is doubled from city squares.

I think the option is hidden away in the multiplayer menus.

Yes double production and movement. It goes very fast.King level makes it very easy.It is challenging to get all the wonders though.

It does get very tedious if you normally keep your civs small(ish).

I am going to try one more time to launch at the earliest possible date.1AD I believe. But occ#21 is next up.

What exactly is 2x2x?

Smash, you would have done better if you had customized the world to large land mass continent (more room for cities and more hutts).
This challenge is too tedious, maybe stopping at 500BC would be more interesting.
