Simulate Civ 2 and Civ 1?
Just an idea for a mod. Why not replicate Civ 2 and/or even Civ 1?
Of course, I'm not going to do it myself since I don't know how and I can't be bothered learning and it's alot of hard work anyway and I'd rather just play other people's mods but does this idea give anyone enough of a spark for them to do it? Or has it already been done and I don't know about it yet?

Here's an idea.......

To simulate civ1, play civ1.
To simulate civ2, play civ2.

I don't think any mod maker will consider this one. Sorry mate.

The idea would be to effectively play Civ 1 or Civ 2 but with the CTP2 interface which I think is a little bit of an imporvement don't you? Or do you prefer the original interfaces?

Nobody will want to make really big chances needing slics or and others complicate things so the best you could do is change the units, advances and govs what also will be stupid because the CTP2 units are much better looking than the civ2/1 ones. And there much more advances and govs it CTP2 than inciv2/1. Not to mention the future that is a big addition that civ2/1 cant make a difference.
