Keep it to Civ III
You want to talk about Civ III... fine... discuss away.

You want to make personal attacks against members of this site... take it somewhere else, or you will find your posting rights restricted!

It's that simple!

Are you referring to LaRusso's recently deleted poll?

EDIT: Spelling

Okay, just to make sure. If I post a poll on 'whether Civ2 box will come as a cylinder, flip-top or a goody-bag it's fine? Also, a poll on whether Jeff Morris smokes or does not is also fine? Whether Babylonian's leader should be Saddam Hussein or Ayatolah Khomeini?
I apologize for my poll if it was rude, but at least some considered it funny. A dozen polls we got today is a tad too much.

I'm sorry to say that I agree with LaRusso. While he may have been out of line, he does make a very good point. You may yell at LaRusso for spamming, but Alex and Alex are doing the same thing. It's just a thinly veiled spam-spree. Count the number of polls the two of them have done.

While I would probably agree that some of the polls are a "tad" senseless at best... it is a matter of opinion. In "somebodies" mind, the polls may not be senseless.

As long as people are posting about CivIII... well, this is the CivIII forum.

Heck, about half the stuff I've seen here could probably be considered spam... but it's still all about CivIII. If you have a problem with a particular poster, please notify the admin via email or PM, and it will be looked into. Don't start threads on the subject, because they will just be deleted, and you may be the one punished.

Now, yes, a poll on who the leader of a country should be is indeed acceptable... (boring and a waste of time, but accceptable)

A poll on who smokes and who doesn't...

With the release of the game in the near future ( I hope), and with most decisions already made, I can understand what is happening here... but let's TRY to at least keep things Civ III related....

Edited for typo reasons... but added later.

Don't attack specific people in the forums... complain about somebody directly to the admin via email or pm.

I agree with you, LaRusso and Sabre. It was too much polls from those two!

I don't think you intended to do this, but you just gave us the thread we need to talk about the stupid polls. Unless you want to close your own thread

I've been doing this for a long time

But remember, talk about the number of polls... NOT THE PEOPLE!

Oh, and I have closed/deleted my own threads in the past... get my drift

I would just like to point out here that The vote was 3-3 right before the poll was deleted. Now we won't know who the greatest amateur spammer is. Of course, nobody could take that title from AH....

Now I'm done talking about the people.

Number of polls...... Like I said: Do a search and count 'em

I went back and counted 25 polls between the two of them in the last MONTH. I haven't even started 25 THREADS in my time here.

I didn't count how many each of them alone had, but I think Alex14 had more.

Obviously not...

Please don't make me do something I really don't want to do.

Well as long as you're posting here Ming, I've heard in other threads of Mingapulco and still haven't figured out what it is, wanna shed some light on my confusion?

I also personally think there are far too many needless polls in this forum...

Now that I have posted on topic...

Mingapulco is a "vacation" destination for those that violate the rules in the Apolyton forums. When we first started restricting people for a period of a time, we jokeingly started saying "you were getting a vacation"... Some of the more creative posters came up with the concept that people were getting vacations to "Mingapulco", a beautiful tropical island, or the worst hell hole you could possibly imagine... depending on the story

There have been at least 5 Mingapulco web sites (probably more, but that's all I can remember visiting) , some of them were very creative. One even had a nice forum that the "vacationers" could use during their restriction time from Apolyton. Overall, funny stuff.

I hope that answers your question

Thanks Ming. I figured it had something to do with bannings, but don't spend enough time in the OT forums to know all the lingo.
