Aging Leaders, Different Eras
There has been some discussion on who the guy in the hat in the Diplomatic Advisor screenshot is, and I think I know the answer.

It's "Renaissance Caesar".

When I signed up for the mailing list I got this graphic coming with it: http://www.civ3.com/images/feature_callout.gif

Note that it features Mao dressed in Medaieval clothes, Joan of Arc in an Industrial-Era uniform, the unknown german leader dressed up as a Renaissance hanseate trader and Catherine the Great in what I can only surmise is some sort of Ancient garb.

So, the leaders in different eras have different clothes. Q.E.D.

That should add a nice little touch to leaders.

Good job on cracking the case, Snapcase (no pun intended).

On the other hand, is it really so difficult simply to accept everything that one has been brought up on and that has gradually struck deep roots – what is considered truth in the circle of moreover, really comforts and elevates man? Is that more difficult than to strike new paths, fighting the habitual, experiencing the insecurity of independence and the frequent wavering of one’s feelings and even one’s conscience, proceeding often without any consolation, but ever with the eternal goal of the true, the beautiful, and the good? - F.N.

LOL

Quite ridiculous...and amusing at the same time.

I remember that in Civ1 those advisors changed clothes, but never the leader. That was equally absurd. Gotta love those "typically-Civ" thingies.

I like it a lot better than the dancing m**^ns and static pic -which got turned off swiftly- in Civ2 anyway.

actually, that's brilliant!!

now in the modern age, when you're talking to the iriquoi leader, they won't be dressed in a loin cloth! This adds some realism, which is always good
