Winning the space race
I am playing as the English on deity level, and I am a little behind in the space race. I have quite a few cities, but the computer players have a lot of money so they are buying spaceship parts really fast.
What technology do I need for SScomponent and SSmodule?
How many components can I have?
If anyone has any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

La Fayette - One reason for compiling the GL was that we got tired of searching through archives for information - it was a waste of good drinking time.

LOL
This is a valiant reason indeed!

One observation though: The great Library is not easy to use. Could it become something separate, and if not can it have specific sections like Diplomacy, War, Exlporation, City Management etc?

The minimun space ship is 15 structurals, 3 propulsion and 3 fuel components and one of each type of modules: habitation, support and solar panels.

One OCC-trick too: you can build/rushbuild food freights in all of your cities and send them to your best production cities. Make them build a wonder, let the freight 'help building a wonder' and then switch to spaceship parts. You get no 50% shield loss because CIV2 considers spaceship parts as wonders. Hope this helps

Thanks for the tip!
What are the maximums for structurals, components and modules?

Open topic #1 on this forum (SG's Great Library). In the middle of page two you find a link to "scrolls of ancient wisdom" (with a lot of interesting stuff + a table about SS structurals).
If you have got spare time left, read the rest of the Library. It is GREAT.

You should be able to drink while searching.
