Are you up for the challenge?

Ok, I have been thinking about this lately and I have a great idea for Civ2 and for Civ1.

I challenge anyone who is willing to create a scenario that is designed to make Civ2 act, feel and play more like Civ3, but within the limitations of Civ2. Alternatively, I challenge anyone to create a scenario that makes Civ1 more like Civ2.

I would do this myself, but I personally do NOT possess the knowledge, skill, experience, or time for that matter to do so.

Perhaps, if I might ask, that MarkG or DanQ run a contest on this issue. Who can create the best scenario that makes Civ2 more like Civ3? Or Civ1 more like Civ2? The finished scenarios could be submitted to Apolyton, downloaded and played by members and then voted on by the members themselves. Whoever wins either of the contests will get some type of reward.

So what do ya say? Is anyone up for the challenge?

I wasn't aware you could make sceanrios for civ1. you mean you can change the units and stuff!

I 'll have to dig out my copy of civ1 to see this.

And even if it is possible to make a civ1 scenario, i don't think you could make it much more like civ2 than a regular game of civ1. the same goes for civ3 except that it would be much harder because no one (except firaxis) has played civ3!

Well, neither do I know if it's possible to make scenarios in Civ1. I'm just guessing on that.

By the way, the Beta for Civilization III is out you know. Duh!

AFAIK, you cannot make a scenario for civ1. rules.txt, and all the other important filesare missing. You could hack the game I guess, but what's the point?
