Any Cub Scout/Boy Scouters in our Civ Community?
I just finished spending quality time with about 700 of Johnson County's finest 7 and 8 year olds this week at Cub Scout Day Camp . Way fun! So, any other Scouters/would be Nepoleons out there? I don't know which draws away more time: an "hour a week" being a Scout Leader or Civ!

(Ming, I'd post this OT, but the OT'ers are just too scary! )

Ex Scout. Gave it up after the Scout troop had about 3 other scouts and all we did were endless knots...

But my dad is full-on into it. Scout leader and all...

Well, I must say that I'm sort of surprized! I thought that there would be lots of past and present Scouts researching Civilization Leadership here! Aw well, I keep trying to convince Finbar that he needs a couple of kids so that he has an excuse to become a Scout Leader himself!

Fat chance! Dogs don't rob you blind with pocketmoney, they eat what's put in front of them, and they don't banish you to Old People's Homes and rip the house off you.

Dogs Rule!

The ranks, IIRC, are Scout, Tenderfoot, Second Class, First Class, Star, Life, and Eagle. As you can see, I didn't get very far...

Funny thing is, I studied Geology in college, and between the field trips and prospecting, I made better use of my scouting skills than most...

Ah, indeed it is! My oldest is a 2nd year WEBELOS and a couple months ago I had him change the oil in my truck as part of his Handyman pin! Mom had him doing laundry for Family Member! I hope this holds through out the teen years!!

Forget it, MU. After the pins run out, it'll be paying them. When their charges escalate to a point that you're staring bankruptcy in the eye, you'll boot them out. When they gain legal ownership of the house after their court action and stick you in an old folks' home ... you'll wonder why you didn't go with dogs instead.
