food transport

Does anyone know is Civ3 will allow you to transport surplus food from one city to another?

Of course, this would only be enabled if you have a road/port/airport connecting the two cities...

This was one of my requests early in the Civ 3 wish list. I don't know if its in the game. This would make it more realistic and fun because then I could have a 40 million person mega city and lots of support cities sending it food!
