Anybody interested in this kind of stuff?
As you might know, I am creating a scenario about the conquest of México (preview at Mr. Temba's).
Now I was thinking to improve the basic that I used in "Artaxerxes": many, many special events that add up to the athmosphere of the scenario.
Massive, game-changing events are a domain which I'm quite new to, but I already have thought up some nice ones.
Now, I am going to ask YOU: What do you think, could I add, to make the athmosphere more Aztec? I already have some gold mines, villages and templeas all around the map, but I feel like something's missing.
What could that be?
Remember that the Mayas where just as important to the Conquista. It could be something regarding them solely as well.

Well, I`m not an expert on Aztec Mexico, but I`ve picked up a few things about the era from other scenarios, schoolwork etc. that might come in handy.

In Jesús Balsinde`s scenario "Alba de America", some of the Aztec and Inca cities have a special terrain around them called "terraces", which I assume represented some form of farming, as these squares generated large quantities of food to feed said cities. And how about including chimpanas, the artificial islands that Tenochtitlan was built upon? Just a couple of ideas on the terrain front there.

Also, would it be possible to simulate the suffering caused by European diseases that the Spanish brought with them to Mexico, and often preceded their troops on their march through the country? You could perhaps have several events that create units representing smallpox outbreaks that attack the native population but not the conquering soldiers, who had immunities to these diseases?

Maybe I`m on the wrong track, but I hope you consider my ideas anyway.
