About coastal fortresses and City Walls...
I was wondering...
If a unit is amphibious, thus can attack from the sea, and attacks a city, what counts: City Walls or the Coastal Fortress ?
Or both or none at all?
If I give that unit then "Ignore City Wall" does that work for an amphibious unit? Does that unit then ignore the city wall or the coastal fortress?

Any help welcome...and merry Christmas

Hendrik

Coastal Fortress only works with sea units. Land Units go by City Walls.

Thanks to both of you!
I read throu it and it clearefied the entire thing.

I was just wondering because I'm working on a scenario in which there will be units that are both amphibious and will ignore City Walls.
Now I know; If I attack with amphibious units the City Wall will be effective no matter what.

Of course, the computer won't use them at all - an important consideration if you plan for the AI to act aggresively.

You mean the AI wont use any unit that is amphinious to attack from the sea?
That might be a problem... Are you sure???

BTW, Merry Christmas!

I've had the AI attack with marines from transports many times on all different levels of play.
