Replaying the game?
Did I see somewhere that there will be a feature allowing you to replay the game like you would if you had videotaped it? Was this in Civ I? I think someone said that but I started out with Civ II so I don't know.

IIRC this feature is included in Civ III , which is nice, because it was fun to see what happened early in the game when you didn't know anything about other civilizations. And yes, it was in Civ I.

However it's disappointing that you can't save the replay. For me, I would rather see the replay later than right after I play the game when I pretty remember what happened.

Actually they said somewhere you CAN save it, though I admit I see no button.

Maybe when you close the screen it says "Would you like to save this replay for later use?"

Besides - You can always save it right before the end. Generally you know when you're going to win.

Hm? That's only the final position... not the birds-eye view of the entire game... I think there's a difference there. Saving the replay would certainly add something.

The point is that you can access the replay at any time from that point of the game if you can't save the replay as a separate file.

Except on a few rare occasions (summer, winter, and weekends) I never finished a game in one day. It took days or weeks to complete a game. So I would want to be refreshed on what happened in the Ancient era, so I could really see my civilization grow.

Yea, this feature has been addressed several times. I hope that it will be good.
