A simple question. Or is it...
I have a question pertaining to scenario creation. In the start-up windows which display the introduction text when you load a scenario. How do you get the unit to show up in the top left corner? Like in WW79 and Alexander scenarios. I did it once by accident but never figured out how to do it again. Can anyone help me with this?

It does seem random, doesn't it. In fact, it's simply the unit that is active when you save the scenario. If no unit is active, no unit appears.

The active unit yes, but it must belong to the "Protagonist" civ, otherwise nothing will show up...

This is an interesting twist.
But if the unit is active and their is no set human player won't the game start moving pieces by itself?

It doesen't matter. What is important is, that, when you save the game as a scenario, the protagonists must be the active civ (which means that, when you start the scenario, they're the ones who are active), and the unit which you want to have in the start-up box is the active unit. The specific civ has to be the protagonist, though it doesen't matter which player (color) it is. In the Napoleon scenario for example, a French Infantry unit is in the intro text. The first player to move in that are the French, protagonists, who have the blue color, and the first active unit is-surprise, surprise- a French infantry.
