New project : Airplane units pics library
I surfed around the net, and one thing that seem sadly lacking among the CIV 2 units files is Airplane.

Granted, Tim Smith gave us a few cool airplane, and yes, there are a few other around. But not much. And yet, using a method similar to that used by mr. Smith, it take about 10/15 minutes to obtain a good unit pics from a scanned image. Of course the unit is not as good looking as the HiRes graphics of Tim Smith, but it is good all the same.

So, since I have a scanner, photoshop, and lots of aircrats pics, I started developing new aircraft pictures.

I have about 20 nows, but some need to be redone (with a better picture).

Here is the complete list :

Gloster Meteor (early British jet fighter)
Douglas A-3/B-66
Sukhoi Su-17 Fitter (not very good, need better base pic)
McDonell Douglas AH-64 Apache
???? Bucanneer (british fighter)
Grumman TBF Avenger (one of the best pic)
McDonnel Douglas F-4 Phantom II (good pic too)
Grumman F6F Hellcat (quite good too)
Dassault Rafale (not bad)
Lockheed F-22 Rapier
Vought A-7 Corsair II
Tupolev Tu-160 "Backfire"
Mikoyan-Gourevitch MiG-31 Foxhound
Dassault Mirage III (desperately need good pic to work on)
Bristol Halifax (WW II bomber)
Tupolev Tu-26 "Backfire" (need good pic to work on here too)
Avro Canada CF-105 Arrow (definitely the best fighter at the time it was built, far more advanced than its rivals but a stupid Prime minister canceled the project)
Republic F-105 Thunderchief
Northrop F-5E Tiger II
English Electric Canberra

And more coming...

If you have any good pic of aircrafts not on this list or in mr. Smith modpack, please send them in!

I have actually compiled a list of pictures of almost all American planes and some from other countries but never really felt that anybody would be interested in them.

They are all on the same angle and look very clean even though they are from real pictures from the net.

Planes include:
All from Vietnam War
All American from WW2, some from UK and Germany
Most modern planes.
Some really hard ones to find such as AWACS and so on.

They are not drawn and are true to the real design of each plane including paint work. They are actually pictures of model kits.

If anybody is really interested in nagging me to do it I will. I find that if the need is not there then the will power eventually disappears.

Aussie.

Therefore, it have 1 move point and unlimited range as long as you keep moving it).
