I pre-ordered the Civ3 LE Tin from my local EB (Garden City) here in Brisbane, Australia for $110. Although now that I look at it, the $110 amount is not mentioned on my little docket and was only mentioned verbally. I only put down $10 deposit and that is all it really mentions about the price. If it turns out to be $119 then Biggles266 will not be happy. I think I remember seeing in a catalogue that it would be $110 and 'exclusive to EB' so I suspect EB are the only ones in Australia to get the LE Tin. I must find that catalogue... aargh bin night last night... it is now lost forever.

Well it's not the case in Australia, or the UK, or Canada. We all speak English. So what the hell's the point?

It's like the CURSED DAMNED BASTARD region coding system on DVDs. Bloody corporates. As soon as I figure out a way to pirate DVDs, I'm doing it. I'm fed up with being sold cut-down crap in Australia. If they don't want to treat Australians properly, then I bloody well won't treat them properly either.

And back to Infogrames - HELLO?! How bloody hard is it to ship stuff out here? GET THE DAMN GAMES ON THE SHELVES, PEOPLE!

"language and marketing issues" my arse.

First let me make one thing clear: We do NOT want localised, translated and generally ruined lidiotproof versions!

Second. I woke up and found this in my Inbox: We thought you'd like to know that we shipped your items today, This is referring to the LE being shipped to Holland! WooHoo!!!

I agree with you. Localised versions are not
welcome.

Hopefully that's true, but I still suggest patience.
While you and the rest of the LE customers
wait for they order to arrive, please pay some
attention to The BTC campaign that is active all
the time. The latest development and discussion
can be found here: http://apolyton.net/forums/showthrea...hreadid=31348. Please have a look!

I live in Germany but I still prefer to work with English versions of software. I find a lot tends to get lost in the translation (I'm Bilingual) and can detract from the gameplay if not properly understood........

As for the translation aspect, that could still be ongoing during the beta testing phase with final addendums added once gold., or even incorporated in later releases.

Perhaps EBgames are just trying to denying that they will not ship the game to Denmark, because they still tells me that "we are waiting to verify your bank accounts (I pay with VISA) and it will take some time blah, blah, blah"... If they are not going to ship the LE why not tell me the truth right away? In 11 days to come I can buy the SE in Denmark - but I want my LE now!

I suggest all of those of you, who have pre-ordered/ordered
the LE, would join the BTC campaign.

For more information, check http://we-want-civ3-bte.cjb.net, the official website of the Bisquit Tin Coalition (BTC).

At EB Games in America they are still "holding my order open" but they now say that it takes some time to verify my VISA credit card. Now it have taken them ten days and I think that they never will ship the game to Denmark, also even though they say that they will. Bastards!
